Team(s): 14u & 17u Boys
I began my coaching career when I was Junior in High School. Along with playing Varisty basketball for Parkview, in Orfordville, I also coached my brother's 7th grade basketball team and that is how it all got started. After coaching 7th & 8th grade boys for four consecutive years, I joined the girls basketball staff in Fort Atkinson, when I transferred to UW-Whitewater. With the girls, I was a JV coach for one season and an assistant varsity coach for another. Following my stint with the girls program, I was brought on to the boys staff, to coach under Mike Hintz. I spent one year as the JV co-coach and my last two seasons have been as Assistant Coach with Coach Hintz, on the Varsity staff.
I am a December 2012 graduate of UW-Whitewater with a degree in Education. Along with currently seeing a teaching position, I also want to continue coaching. Basketball is such an incredible game and coaching basketball is a privilege and a true love of mine. Coaching basketball is such a passion for me because it gives me the opportunity to be around the game I love, while also allowing me to positively impact the lives of young men.
I joined Wisconsin Academy this seaon because they are as committed to developing great young people, as they are basketball players, and that should be the goal of each and every coach out there! I am really enjoying the opportunity that Wisconsin Academy has given me and I look forward to assisting them in development of this already outstanding basketball program!
